
NEYIF Conducts Strategic Advocacy Visit to Jigawa State Governor
North East Youth Initiative For Development (NEYIF), under the leadership of its Executive Director, Comrade Dauda Muhammad Gombe, recently conducted a high-level advocacy visit to His Excellency, Alhaji Umar Namadi, Governor of Jigawa State. The engagement took place at the Jigawa State Government House in Dutse.
The visit marked a significant milestone, coinciding with the official launch of a new project and the inauguration of the Partnership Against Violent Extremism (PAVE) Jigawa State Chapter.
During the meeting, Comrade Gombe outlined the primary objective of the visit, to establish strategic partnerships and secure collaboration from the Jigawa State Government for the implementation of a new GCERF-funded initiative titled “Engaging Youth and Women as Agents of Social Cohesion through Resilience Building and Community Peace Initiatives.”
The project represents a collaborative effort involving NEYIF, the PAVE Network, and the Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism-Knowledge, Innovation Research Hub (PCVE-KIRH), in partnership with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

In his remarks, Governor Umar Namadi expressed strong support for the initiative, assuring NEYIF of the state government’s unwavering commitment to the project’s success. His Excellency reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to eliminating violent extremism and promoting lasting peace in the state.
NEYIF continues to be a leading organization in the field of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) across Northern Nigeria. Through its community-driven programs, the organization empowers youth and women as critical stakeholders in building sustainable peace and security across the region.
